Fake emails

The Belastingdienst and DigiD have warned about fraudulent emails wherein the sender of the emails poses as the Belastingdienst.
‘’ Have you received a fraudulent email? Forward it to info@digid.nl,  delete the email and do not click on any of the links,” advises the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In the emails it is stated that one can receive a tax refund. You are then requested to click on a link with the DigiD logo. This link does not come from a real DigiD website but from a fake website which asks for your DigiD username and password.

If, however, someone has clicked on the link in the email and has entered their DigiD on the fraudulent internet site, then they must cancel their DigiD and request a new DigiD from www.digid.nl. Also contact the DigiD helpdesk.
