Adjustment of NOW scheme

The upper limit of the subsidised amount under the NOW (Employment Bridging Emergency Fund) scheme, which is aimed at helping COVID-affected employers reduce their wage bill, has been raised from 80 to 85 percent. Registration for the first quarter of 2021 opens on 15 February 2021. As before UWV, the Employee Insurance Agency, will be making advance payments in instalments to successful applicants, with final determination and settlement taking place at a later stage.
