Income tax return and tax benefit claim
The deadline for those who earlier this year, before the first of May, successfully applied for an extension of time to file their income tax return for the year 2014 is set to elapse at midnight on 31 August next.
Please make sure before actually submitting your tax return that you have put in claims for all tax benefits to which you are entitled, as you will have forfeited the right to claim allowances for the previous year once the deadline for filing has expired.
The Tax and Customs Administration’s web site features a module enabling you to perform a trial calculation of the tax benefits you should have coming to you.
