The maximum amount in transitional compensation is subject to annual revision by ministerial regulation. The amount is adjusted in line with the contractual pay trend for the preceding year, with the revised amount being rounded up or down to the nearest € 1,000. Given the estimated 2.9% contractual pay increase for 2018, this would result in a maximum transitional compensation level for 2019 in the amount of € 81,291, which in this case is to be rounded down to € 81,000.
