Unjust tax return letter
You may recently have received a “value-added tax return letter 2015” from the Tax and Customs Administration even though they had already sent you their decision granting you exemption from administrative obligations. If this is the case, the tax return letter – which lists the filing and payment deadlines and the payment references for 2015 as a whole – should not have been sent to you.
The Tax and Customs Administration is currently taking stock of which tax payers have wrongly been sent a tax return letter, and will shortly send all of these a letter in which the error is rectified.
Reports on how this glitch is being tackled will be posted on the Tax and Customs Administration’s web site.
